Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) with Colliers and AMP Capital engaged Fore Group as their construction partner to deliver the fitout of the new ATSB office. Located across three levels; part ground floor, part first floor and the entire second floor of 12 Moore Street, the project included works to be completed in 2 stages. Stage 1 works included the demolition of the existing built form on levels 1 and 2 followed by the fitout of the new office accommodation including new offices, meeting rooms, informal meeting areas, open plan workstations and breakout spaces. Stage 2 works included the demolition of the ground floor space along with the fitout of a new purpose-built technical facility to support ATSB operations. The ground floor lobby remained fully operational during construction, with access maintained for other building users and the public. To work around this a carefully designed external scaffold and hoist arrangement was put in place along with the removal of the building facade to gain access to each level.
