The Commonwealth Club – Accommodation

Fore Group was engaged to refurbish 9 of the existing hotel rooms at Commonwealth Club, delivering the work in carefully staged phases so the Club could keep welcoming guests and diners throughout construction. With bookings locked in and other rooms still occupied by guests, the program was planned around minimising disruption, keeping noise to a minimum, maintaining tidy work areas and ensuring the refurbished rooms were handed over on schedule, all while protecting the experience of patrons dining at the Club's restaurant. The design brief called for a fresh, updated feel that still respected the character of the existing building, striking a balance between something new and something familiar. Each room was reimagined to feel comfortable, inviting and relaxing, giving short-stay guests a genuine sense of warmth while tying back to the quality and heritage of the wider Club. Close coordination of trades, access and working hours meant the refurbishment could progress efficiently without compromising the experience of guests and diners alike, resulting in a seamless upgrade to the Club's accommodation offering.
