QLD Charity Bowl’s Day – 2024
A big shout out to our amazing subcontractors, suppliers, and partners who joined us for our QLD Charity Bowl’s Day. We are incredibly grateful for your participation and generosity, which helped Fore Group raise an impressive $30,000 for Aspley Care’s emergency relief program.
These funds will provide immediate relief to those in need during times of crisis, making a real difference in our community.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment. Together, we are making a positive impact!
Fore Group and Generate Property Group Volunteer with FareShare – March 2024
We were fortunate to join our friends at Generate Property Group in volunteering with FareShare, as part of the #givebackcollective initiative.
FareShare provides delicious, free meals from rescued, donated, and homegrown ingredients to improve the lives of Australian in hardship – while also preventing food waste by saving it from landfill!
Cooked and prepared in Australia’s largest charity kitchen, our team contributed by dishing up 919 meals, packing 1500 means, and prepping 60kg of vegetables.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved!
2023 Charity Bowls Day – Supporting Jack’s Journey with Cancer – November 2023
In November 2023, our Canberra team held their second annual Charity Bowls Competition at the RUC Turner, dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Jack’s Journey with Cancer.
Jack’s journey commenced in December 2022 upon his diagnosis with brain cancer. Since then, he has undergone 9 brain surgeries, endured 6 weeks of daily radiotherapy sessions, and completed 6 rounds of week-long chemotherapy treatments. Throughout this challenging period, Jack’s family received invaluable support from organizations such as The Children’s Cancer Institute, Ronald McDonald House, Brainchild, and Redkite. Motivated by this assistance, Jack’s family established the “Jack’s Journey with Cancer” page on mycause to give back to these remarkable charities.
We extend heartfelt gratitude to all our exceptional subcontractors, suppliers, and partners who not only participated in the event but also lent their support to Jack’s Journey with Cancer. Thanks to your contributions, Fore Group was able to donate $55,000 to aid these charities in continuing their vital work.
Deathrow Unchained Animal Rescue – March 2023
The Fore Group Brisbane team kicked off their 2023 Give Back Collective events with their biggest team of volunteers to date. 75 team members across 3 companies, took their skills and eagerness out to Deathrow Unchained Animal Rescue (DRU), an organisation who take in animals and rehabilitates them, saving them from death and giving them a home.
The team spent their time out on the property helping to build a shelter for the animals, securing areas, fencing, cleaning, and yard work. It was a massive effort from everyone who came and helped, not only on the day but the organisation in the lead up. A special mention goes to Joe Stewart, Cameron Jones, Tayla Ponsford, Katie McNichol and Emma Pearce, who worked to put together building supplies, equipment, and safety protocols, working also with Jenny Brandon and our Give Back Collective friends.
A special thank you to Kate, from DRU for sharing your story and continuing to put your heart and soul into these animals and so many more. It was a wonderful experience to help.
RMHC – Meals from the Heart – February 2023
In February, our Canberra team volunteered their time to participate in the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) Meals from the Heart Program. Meals from the Heart is a group or corporate volunteering program providing families staying at Ronald McDonald House Canberra with a home cooked meal.
The team showed off their culinary skills and whipped up a feast of burgers and fries, finished off with “build your own” mini pavlovas. It was a great evening filled with laughs and discovering some surprising master chefs in the team! Most importantly it was great to be able to assist those families staying at RMHC by providing them with a home cooked meal and a moment to relax!
Brisbane Basket Brigade – December 2022
Earlier in the year Fore Group spent time with the Generate Property Group, Aston Consulting Group, Presynct Workspace Transition, Stantec and MBMpl Pty Ltd teams as part of the #givebackcollective.
We volunteered our time and wrapping skills for the Brisbane Basket Brigade – Christmas Charity!
Hundreds of presents were wrapped, sorted and counted! It was a great experience learning how this fabulous charity will bring some Christmas cheer to those that need it most.
Thank you to all of our charity and giveback partners for helping to make the day a huge success!
MND Australia – December 2022
In early December, Fore Group had the pleasure of hosting our inaugural Charity Bowls Competition at The RUC Turner, proudly raising funds and awareness for a charity close to our hearts, MND Australia!
MND Australia have been the voice for the Motor Neurone Disease Community since 1983, helping to increase understanding of the disease and advocate for the needs of those affects. We are proud that the money raised from this day will continue to help fund research for better treatments, improved care, and ultimately a cure.
We were supported, as always, by our incredible subcontractor and supply partners who generously donated for the privilege of being one of the 20 teams battling it out to be crowned champions. Together we raised a massive $50,000 for MND Research Australia. These funds will go towards the newly named “Peter Gregory & Fore Group Research Grant” to further research to find treatments and a cure for motor neuron disease.
A big thank you must also go out to The RUC Turner for hosting the event, the incredible hospitality and for donating to the cause.
Fare Share Australia – March 2022
FareShare is a charity which has been cooking free, nutritious meals for those doing it tough since 2001. They operate Australia’s largest non-profit kitchens in both Melbourne and Brisbane, where chefs and volunteers work hand in hand to cook the best possible meal for every person in need.
Our QLD team, along with our Give Back Collective friends from Generate Property Group, and Aston Consulting, volunteered their time to help this amazing charity. The team contributed to packing and packaging over 2,500 meals, as well as prepping over 600kg of ingredients. The work FareShare do to rescue food that would otherwise go to landfill and create nutritious meals for those that need it, is amazing.
If you ever have the chance to help in their volunteer-powered kitchens, do it!
