Fore Group were engaged by DOMA Group to deliver their new rooftop bar fit out, located on the seventh floor of the Burbury Hotel. Fore Group were required to demolish the existing 330m2 function space, retaining existing services for reuse where possible, and deliver a high-quality fit out that added to Doma Hotel Group’s extensive luxury dining scene in Barton. Designed by Luchetti Krelle, the scope of works included delivering several custom banquet seating modules, moulded planter boxes, refurbishment of existing toilets, and the 10m long feature bar finished in a smooth venetian plaster finish. The hero piece of the fit out was the replacement of the buildings north facing facade with full height glazed windows that tilt back into the ceiling, opening the space up to the surrounding view of Canberra. Being located on the top floor within an occupied hotel, the Fore Group project team maintained complete stakeholder engagement with strict site control measures regarding access, materials movement, noisy works, and site cleanliness to maintain resident comfort and nil disruption to the Burberry Hotel operations.
